For the child who needs to develop decision-making skills and hone practical math skills in daily life
Preschool ages 3 to 6 and Grade School ages 7 – 12
1.5 hour per session · Daily Sessions (M – F)
This special course only runs for 5 days on May 28 – 31, 2012.
The Preschool and Grade School Classes will be separate.· 2:00 – 3:30 pm
This course educates the child on how to develop life skills while mastering important math concepts. The child will realize that more than an academic subject, math is a tool for daily living. Principles and practice merge in this fun real life undertaking as the child grapples with healthy and wise choices to make, management of funds, accountability and math operations.
Involves real world professional accounting, basic math calculations and use of accountable forms like Invoices, DR’s and OR’s, as well as online shopping.
Math grades do not reflect integrity, accountability and ability to make wise choices. This course will instruct children to aspire for such ideals.
Preppi brings in the FUN in these special FUNky LIFE SKILLS Training , a FUNctional Literacy Series of Lessons. Many children make the grades but fail in functional literacy. It is not enough to learn how to read, write and do math. What is more important is to know how and when to practice theories and skills coupled with high order thinking. Young children learn how to understand adult requirements and forms, and make wise decisions drawn from the basic academic concepts and life skills they learn.
