Health and Safety

Do the entrance of the building, playgrounds, classrooms, toilets, and all other areas of the school look  clean and safe?

Does the entrance have a good security system?

Is the security personnel assigned alert?

Do the security personnel follow security procedures before allowing any person to enter the school? For example, he asks for the following: appointment, identification, sign in the visitors log, etc. Appreciate the security personnel if they are strict. That means they are seriously following security protocol for the good of the school community which includes your child.

What is the evacuation plan in case of emergency?

Does the school practice earthquake and fire drills?

How often does the school have pest control and maintenance?

What are do sanitation practices to keep materials safe and clean?

Are there staff members who are trained in First Aid and CPR?

Are there procedures on safe pick up and drop off of the child?

What is the policy for accepting children who seem sick (i.e. terrible colds and cough)? Many parents complain that their child is not allowed to go to school “just because their child has colds” without realizing that the colds virus has the potential to spread to the children and teachers.
