The Preppi Elementary Classroom contains different learning areas to allow the children to choose their specific work at a specific time of day. They move around freely and handle the materials carefully. The classroom is designed for a multi-level class. Children are able to work independently during Child Work Period. Depending on the type of work, they collaborate with a partner or with a group. They have a choice to work on the table or floor mat. The room accommodates collective discussions.
Consistent with the Preppi design principle, the environment is white so that color-coded and well -organized materials will attract the children.
